Chapter 4 Release Dates!

Hi folks!

Bare Witness chapter 4 is nearly complete. Our beta testing is just about over, and we're waiting in a final few animations to render before releasing. With that in mind, here our our dates for the release:

  • Silver+ Patrons - October 15th, 2022
  • Bronze Patrons - October 18th, 2022
  • Itch.io Release - October 22nd, 2022

The changelog for chapter 4 includes:

  • Over 2,750 new renders
  • A script of nearly 70,000 words
  • 170 new animations
  • 40+ new songs

If you've purchased chapter 3 at any price (other than free), chapter 4 will be free for you to download. This remains true up until chapter 4's release, when the price will change to $7.99. You can save $2 by buying the current release before then! And, as we've mentioned before, chapter 5 (the final chapter) will also be included for anyone who purchased earlier builds.

you say ppl have to manually request links to updates if they purchased the game earlier, but this old update post seems to be the one and only place ppl can even contact you, as there is no comments section in the main page....
that is scam-like behaviour.. how can ppl request the manual links to the game they paid for, if there is no way to contact you?

If you've already purchased the game, you don't need to ask for download links directly from us. You can just request them following the instructions located here.

If for whatever reason you can't get download links to work through that process, you can email us at alterworldsgames@gmail.com with the email address associated with the PayPal account you used to purchase the game, and we'll send you the links in response.

We apologize for the confusion, and we'll add those instructions to the game description so others who are having issues accessing the update can still receive it.

We do not yet have the ability to accept credit cards directly. That will change in the near future, so keep an eye on our page!
